Privacy Policy — YouTube Ad Skipper

YouTube Ad Skipper is a browser extension that detects YouTube’s visible Skip Ad button and simulates a tap when the button is available.

Information the extension accesses

When you visit www.youtube.com, the extension checks the YouTube video player for its ad-playing state and for a visible, enabled Skip Ad button. When it attempts a tap, it uses Chrome’s Debugger Protocol to verify the button’s position, tap it, and check the player state afterward.

The extension’s code does not collect, store, or transmit personal information, browsing history, or page content to the developer or to a third party. It does not use analytics, advertising, or tracking services.

YouTube’s own handling of information is governed by Google’s privacy policy and is separate from this extension.

Permissions

• YouTube page access: Needed to run the content script on YouTube and detect the video player and Skip Ad button.
• Debugger: Needed to verify the button’s on-screen target and simulate a browser tap on the YouTube tab when a skippable ad is detected.

The extension uses these permissions for its ad-skipping function only.

Changes to this policy

If the extension’s data practices change, this policy will be updated to describe those changes. The updated policy will be published at the same URL.
